Our commitment

Little Smiles CIO is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we have done

In building this website we have:

Used sufficient colour contrast between text and background throughout

Provided descriptive alt text for meaningful images

Ensured all interactive elements are keyboard-navigable

Used semantic HTML structure (headings, landmarks, lists) to support screen readers

Used ARIA labels on icon-only buttons (gallery navigation, lightbox controls)

Ensured text remains readable when browser font size is increased

Avoided content that flashes or rapidly changes

Known limitations

We are aware of the following areas we are working to improve:

Some older images in the photo gallery do not yet have descriptive alt text beyond a short caption

The volunteer sign-up form has not yet been tested with a full range of assistive technology

We are a small volunteer-run charity and are continuously improving. If you find anything that is not accessible, please let us know.

Getting help or reporting a problem

If you experience any difficulty accessing content on this website, or if you need information in an alternative format, please contact us:
